Blokkie is a focus app that blocks distracting apps until you tap your physical NFC tag (“blokkie”). Your privacy is the whole point of the product.
Nothing. Blokkie has no account, no login, and no server. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no analytics and no advertising.
Everything Blokkie needs is stored locally on your iPhone (in an app container shared only between Blokkie and its shield extension): the apps and categories you chose to allow, your focus “modes”, whether focus is currently on and when it started, and the identifier of your paired NFC tag. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Blokkie uses Apple's Screen Time API only to apply and remove the app blocks you configure. Your app selections are represented by opaque tokens provided by iOS — Blokkie cannot see which specific apps they are, and this information is never used for anything other than applying your block, and is never shared with anyone.
Blokkie reads your tag's identifier to turn blocking on and off. Nothing about your tag is transmitted off the device.
Blokkie is intended for people managing their own focus. It uses individual Screen Time enrollment, not parental controls over another person's device.
